2000s History

In the years following the turn-of-the-century, the Progressive National Baptist Convention (PNBC) has been deeply engaged in a range of activities aimed at fostering social justice, advancing civil rights, and addressing community needs.  PNBC, under the leadership of its presidents during this period, has focused on expanding its influence and impact through various initiatives. It has championed efforts to combat poverty and inequality, emphasizing economic empowerment and educational advancement within underserved communities. The Convention has also worked to strengthen its advocacy on issues like healthcare reform and voter rights, reflecting its commitment to addressing both the spiritual and social dimensions of its members' lives. By hosting conferences, providing resources, and forging partnerships with other organizations, PNBC aims to create meaningful change and support its mission of progressive Christianity and justice.
