It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rev. Dr. Kary Gerone Free. Dr. Free transitioned from earth to eternity on October 31, 2020 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

59th Annual Session Update

On April 18, 2020 under the leadership of the Twenty-first President, Dr. Timothy Stewart, the Board of Directors of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc. unanimously agreed upon a virtual Fifty-ninth Annual Session and authorized the President to use the influence of his office to usher the idea into reality.

On January 21, 2020 a young man in Washington State was diagnosed with novel coronavirus (covid-19), by February 26th we had our first case with a citizen with no travel history and by March 13th the President declared we had a national emergency as the pandemic reached all corners of the world.

Mother Jessie W. Jordan

Regretfully, we announced the passing and home-going of another Progressive sister, Mother Jessie W. Jordan (Oklahoma City, OK), affectionately known as “Mama J,” on January 21, 2020. At 105 years young, the Lord allowed her to take her eternal rest from earthly labor to receiving her eternal reward.
